ABOUT KATIEKatie J. Stone A true Hollywood polymath, Katie is a WGA dramatic television writer, actress, producer, and narrative essayist based in Los Angeles.
Over her twenty-year career in the entertainment industry, she has written for shows on USA Network and Netflix while developing television dramas for major networks and studios, including Sony, ABC, and FOX. She currently serves as a writer and Co-Executive Producer for Netflix's animated drama series "Splinter Cell: Deathwatch", which Collider reported is tied for the highest-rated Tom Clancy adaptation ever on Rotten Tomatoes.
She is the Co-founder and President of the production banner Daitch & Stone Distillery and serves as a Fellow at the USC Schwarzenegger Institute. Katie’s work spans high-stakes media development, sex-positive feminism, cultural analysis, and public policy.
Beyond her executive screenwriting background, Katie is a "runaway debutante" and Ex-Evangelical Christian specializing in narrative non-fiction that deconstructs high-control institutional power structures in American culture.
Her multi-faceted artistic journey includes serving as a fine art model for photographer David LaChapelle, touring nationally as a professional dancer with Vaud and the Villains, and performing locally in Los Angeles as a burlesque and pole dance soloist under her stage name, Miss Katy Bunny.
She served at Director of Development for “More Than NO” a nonprofit championing consent culture through artistic activism. For six years, she also penned a monthly column for Bad Kitty Pole Fitness, analyzing pole dance as an empowering form of feminist self-expression.
Her writing provides sharp, investigative analysis on religious purity culture, the psychological mechanics of charismatic cult leadership, pre-#MeToo Hollywood structures, and the intersection of creative sovereignty and trauma recovery.
She is a highly articulate, media-trained source available for commentary on media trends, institutional critique, and narrative non-fiction.
